Jen & Amber launched Boatshed Beach Towels after years of holidaying together on the South Coast of NSW. With growing families  - at one point between us we had six children under the age of six - we wanted to simplify our lives and the loads of equipment we had to lug to the beach. 

As an alternative to big, heavy beach towels, we have designed these functional, light weight, soft-woven cotton and linen towels to be used year in and year out.

The towels are produced from high quality died yarn on handlooms, with hand knotted tassels and are pre-washed to achieve the beautiful soft finish. This process ensures the stability of the colours and a unique quality product.

The lightweight nature of the towels makes them particularly easy to carry and dry throughout the day, and super easy to wash and care for. They also take up a lot less space in the linen cupboard! They are great for adults and the kids love them, but they can also be used as bath towels, sarongs, wraps, tablecloths, meditation shawls or picnic rugs.

Our designs are simple, and clean with a modern edge and the towels exemplify impeccable quality and ageless style.

It was whilst sitting on Boatshed Beach that our idea was formed, we hope your lives can be simpler and more joyful with our Boatshed Beach Towels.  Ours is!
